This morning there was -19 C in Kiviniemi. The sea had frozen last night. I have lived in Kiviniemi for 42 years. 1966 it was a very cold winter. It was january or february at that year when it was several days under -40 C. Never after that it has been so cold in Kiviniemi. Because we are near the sea, the temperature never gets so cold as in the eastern Finland or in the North.
